India’s women’s soccer team is preparing for two friendly matches in Sweden, Sports News
The Indian women’s team is ready to take off against Sweden, where they will face two Dammalsvenskan (level 1) sides Hammarby IF (October 20) and Djurgarden IF (October 23) as part of the preparations for the upcoming AFC Women`s Asian Cup next year.
The team has already played four friendlies against international opponents such as the UAE (4-1), Tunisia (0-1), Bahrain (5-0) and Chinese Taipei (1-0) in recent weeks in the UAE and Bahrain.
Dennerby, who himself had trained both sides almost a decade and a half ago, spoke about the quality of the resistance that the Indian women’s team is facing.

“We will play against Hammarby and Djurgarden, who both play in the top tier in Sweden. I was the coach for Djurgarden when we reached the UEFA Women’s Champions League final in 2004,” Dennerby said in an official AIFF release. “They are still a very good team, and both matches will be challenging for us.”
The UEFA Pro License coach emphasized the work ethic of the players, who have been training together for almost two months now, since their camp in Jamshedpur, with infrastructural and logistical assistance from the Jharkhand government.
“They want to learn, and they work very hard to do it, whether in the gym or in the field. No matter what task we give them; they try to do their best.
