Report: Jan Schlaudraff before the role of sports director at SKN St. Pölten in Austria
Wolfsburg cooperation partner
Apparently a new task is looming for Jan Schlaudraff. Again “Kicker“Reports, the ex-professional was last in Austria for a few days, where he is supposed to be employed as head of sports at SKN St. Pölten. The second division team has been a cooperation partner of VfL Wolfsburg since last May and is primarily intended to help VfL talents develop. With Lino Kasten (20), Ulysses Llanez (20) and Yun-sang Hong (19), three youngsters are currently loaned to the neighboring country. After relegating from the Austrian House of Lords last season, the club is currently in eleventh place and has recently lost six out of ten league games.
Schlaudraff was most recently active as head of sports at Hannover 96, where he initially worked as an assistant to the management and later as sports director between April 2019 and January 2020, before he was released from work. “The exemption was given, among other things, against the background of different ideas about the future direction of the club and in view of a relationship of trust that was damaged in this respect,” confirms the second division team.
Schlaudraff, who had a job at SKN St. Pölten often had to do with his former companion Jörg Schmtke (VfL sports director), then sued for reinstatement, but was given an extraordinary notice a little later. According to reports, the ongoing legal dispute between the two parties ended at the beginning of the week with a final agreement.
