Austria-Georgia: President Zurabishvili on an official visit to Vienna
Vienna, 12 Oct 08:17 – (Nova Agency) – Georgia President Salome Zurabishvili has started an official visit to Austria, where she arrived last night landing at Vienna International Airport. According to the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of Georgia to Austria Ketevan Tsikhelashvili, the first official visit of the president to Austria represents a very important positive impetus for the dynamics of relations between the two countries. “During this visit, meetings will be held with the OSCE secretary general, as well as with a group of ambassadors of the organization. The president is very interested in promoting the agenda for women, peace and security at the international level and, of course, inside the OSCE. The official welcoming ceremony of the president of Georgia will be held today at the palace of the Austrian federal president, Alexander van der Bellen, at the end of which the two heads of state will have a bilateral meeting. A Georgian-Austrian business forum is also planned, in which companies from different countries will participate. (Geb)
