Start on October 10 at 10 a.m. and 10 minutes
Ten prepared the game in honor of the co-founder of the Vršovice factory Koh-i-noor. Its beginning is symbolically scheduled for October 10 at 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. People will be able to participate until December 12.
According to the deputy mayor of Prague 10 David Kašpar (VLASTA / STAN) is the principle of the game in that people will walk around old Vršovice and look for eleven objects that somehow refer to Jindřich Waldes. “These will be located in a predetermined street, but in an unspecified place, so it will be necessary to thoroughly explore all corners of this magical part of us,“Kaspar added.”
People will find detailed rules of the game on the web, where there will be a short text for each clue. “At the same time, citizens will learn a lot of interesting things connected with the extraordinary life of the famous industry. Successful searchers will receive a memorial item from us,“Kaspar clarifies.
“We want to get culture into public space”
By playing according to Kašpar, Desítka fulfills several priorities that the city district has set itself in the field of cultural development. “We want to conceptually support the belonging of citizens to the place where they live, to receive culture in public space or to involve organizations and residents in the creation of our cultural offer,“It is calculated by Deputy Mayor Kaspar.
In mid-December, the family game will be smoothly followed by an exhibition entitled “The Vršovice Koh-i-noor Phenomenon”. This exposition will be on display in the Vzlet cultural center (the so-called cornea, ie the shop window that can be seen from the street) and its content is determined by the people themselves.
“It will be composed of items that they will bring to us by November 10. Historical snaps, a clip box, a button or any other object of preparation in Waldes / Koh – i – noor haberdashery, archive photographs of ohKoh – i – noorky´ and anything else related to the life and work of Jindřich Waldes. I myself am curious what we will get together based on our calls,“Adds Kaspar.
Prague 10 will cooperate with the Take-off curator Denisa Václavová at the exhibition. From the start of the game, details about it will be available on the website here.
