Apple Watch with 4G is coming to the Netherlands, also T-Mobile
T-Mobile makes the promise on Twitter, but gives no further details. KPN also promised support for the 4G version of the Apple Watch in the Netherlands a few weeks ago. Both providers have not yet published when that support will come, and what it will cost.
Until now, 4G support for the Apple Watch has never been available in the Netherlands, and Apple did not offer copies of the Apple Watch with 4G here either.
Apple Watch Series 7
The latest Apple Watch Series 7 came in September. It has a slightly larger screen than they started out, but still uses the same chip.
New material choices
Apple markets the watch in three materials in many countries: aluminum, stainless steel and titanium. For the time being, only the aluminum model can be ordered in the Netherlands. That is the only model that is also available without 4G function. The other two options are only available with 4G, and have therefore not been available in the Netherlands for years. It is not yet known whether the Dutch will soon be able to choose from more materials, since the aluminum model is also available as a 4G version.
Don’t bring an iPhone
An Apple Watch with 4G also has an active connection without an iPhone nearby. For example, users can make calls, receive and send messages, stream music and share location. These options are useful for sports, among other things, so that users can leave their iPhone at home.
