Wizz Air will start flying between Prague and Venice Marco Polo Airport in April
Wizz Air will fly between Marco Polo Airport and Ruzyn three times a week, on Mondays and Wednesdays on Fridays.
By low air traffic Wizz Air continues to expand in the Italian market; today announced the opening of a base at Venice Marco Polo Airport. It is the seventh Italian transport base. It will place two Airbus A321neo aircraft at Venice Airport, which, in addition to 11 other foreign destinations, will also serve Prague.
Wizz Air will start flying between Marco Polo Airport and Ruzyn on April 1 next year, three times a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday). The tariff first states 259 crowns as the introductory one. Gradually, other flights depart from Venice during the year, for example to Tel Aviv, Tallinn, Reykjavík or Tenerife.
Wizz Air Group President Robert Carey called the opening of another Italian base a “An important milestone for the company and passengers in the region and confirmation of interest in the Italian market.”
Wizz Air has bases in Italy at six airports, having opened them in the last year. These are Milan Malpensa, Catania, Palermo, Bari, Naples and Rome-Fiumicino. He was present at Marco Polo only thanks to the route from Catania, much more often his planes can be seen at Treviso Airport, where Wizz Air flies from a number of cities in Central and Eastern Europe.
Ryanair also flies to Treviso Airport near Venice three times a week, also on Mondays and Wednesdays on Fridays.
