Faced with the multiple challenges of sustainable development, is the Grand Duchy able to anticipate market trends and innovate?
For the launch of the “Paperjam Green Economy” supplement, we invite you to an aperitif-talk with Luc Frieden, president of the Chamber of Commerce.
The “Luxembourg Sustainable Business Principales” were developed by the Chamber of Commerce to bring together sustainability issues at the heart of business strategy in Luxembourg.
With the former politician, a lawyer by training, we will discuss during this revival event, the climate and energy transition, as well as the attractiveness and competitiveness of the Place and the companies of the Grand Duchy.
Luc Frieden: A heavyweight in public life in Luxembourg, Luc Frieden has been elected to Parliament five times. He held the positions of Minister of Justice (1998-2009), Treasury and Budget (1999-2009), Defense (2004-2006) and Finance (2009-1013) and was one of the main players in the fight against the collapse of the financial system during the economic crisis in 2008. Following the sidelining of CSV from CSV in 2013, he became vice-chairman of Deutsche Bank in London.
Returning to Luxembourg, in 2016 he became Chairman of the Board of Directors of BIL, and also chaired the Board of Directors of the Saint-Paul press group until March 2019. Since April 2019, Luc Frieden has been Chairman of the Chamber of business.
Now is the time to meet in person the speakers of the “Paperjam Green Economy” supplement.
