Health Festival in Genoa, here is the return to the future between Covid and the new normal
Thursday fifth and last stage of the event organized by the Gedi hub. Previously the tour had touched Rome, Milan, Trieste and Padua
Genoa – Last stage tomorrow of Festival organized by the Health Hub of the Gedi Group that after Rome, Milan, Trieste and Padua arrives in Genoa as a guest of the Italian Institute of Technology. An entire day dedicated to the theme of these five days: the new normal that awaits us after these 19 months in which we had to face Covid-19.
“Back to the future. The lesson of Covid and the future that awaits us” is precisely the title of the Festival, which, as in a sort of journey, accompanied us to consult the great questions posed by Covid to clinicians and researchers, but also intellectuals and artists interviewed by journalists from la Repubblica, La Stampa, Il Secolo XIX and all the publications of the Gedi Group.
In this latest appointment, the gaze will once again open to the world of research and on new technologies that can improve the health of millions of people around the world. But we will also talk about nutrition, as a principle to support the promotion of a healthy lifestyle and prevention against serious diseases such as cancer and diabetes.
The day of Thursday 7 October therefore at 11 with a workshop organized by the AIRC foundation entitled “What do we really eat?” which will take place both in presence (100 people) and digitally (to register this is the link: events-live.gedidigital.it).
The objective of the laboratory, also suitable for children from 8 years of age, is not only to explain what nutrients are and how a healthy meal is composed according to the most recent scientific discoveries, but also to understand what impact carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins and minerals have in our body.
At the end of the meeting, the audience will be guided in the composition of the “healthy eating dish” created by the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health.
A series of digital speech on “Depression cannot be defeated in words”; “The new places of health” and “Car-T the new frontier of oncohematology”.
At 17.30 Gabriele Beccaria, journalist of La Stampa and coordinator of the Health hub, with Luca Ubaldeschi and Francesco Margiocco, respectively director and editor of Il Secolo XIX will give life (live on our website on all those of the Gedi Group newspapers) to two round tables. The first titled “Food that Saves Lives” will be with Alessandra Gennari professor of oncology at the University of Eastern Piedmont, Edoardo Mocini food science specialist e Claudio Vernieri, oncologist of the IRCSS (National Cancer Institute of Milan).
The second will participate Renato Botti, general director of the Giannina Gaslini Institute; Lucia del Mastro, specialist in medical oncology and lecturer at the School of Specialization in Medical Oncology at the University of Genoa, Angelo Gratarola director of the emergency department and director of Anesthesia and Reanimation at the Policlinico San Martino hospital in Genoa e Giuseppe Profiti coordinate mission structure for the Liguria Region health system.
To trace the point on a global level on new technologies related to medicine will be Giorgio Metta scientific director of the Italian Institute of Technology in Genoa, one of the three Italian representatives at the G7 2018 forum on artificial intelligence e Carlo Cavazzoni, head of the Leonardo Lab dedicated to HPC (High Performance Computing) expert in digital health security.
Finally, the professor Matteo Bassetti, director of the infectious and tropical diseases department of the San Martino Polyclinic in Genoa, will talk about the new challenges that await us to avoid new emergencies.
