PINK OCTOBER: The artist Pegaz bombs the shop window of Shop In Dijon
This first week of October, the artist Pegaz spray painted a female portrait in public to raise awareness about breast cancer screening.
As part of Pink October, Shop In Dijon, the federation of traders and craftsmen of Dijon, is carrying out several actions to support the Côte-d’Or committee of the League against Cancer and provide support to patients (read the press release).
This Monday, October 4, 2021, the artist Pegaz, founding member of the Art Go collective, began a live painting on the windows of the Shop A Dijon agency, place Grangier. It will be finalized by Friday.
An auction of the old works present on the windows will take place for the benefit of the League against Cancer.
Pégaz
“I am Pegaz, painter in Dijon. I am part of a collective of artists in the Dijon sector, we are in the old Talant. Our collective is called Art go. We have already worked with Shop In Dijon this summer for the Jeudi’jonnais, last year also around Les Halles. I am more specialized in Pop’art, spray painting, stencils. I am not a graffiti artist, I am a painter who paints with a spray paint.
I contacted Shop’in Dijon for Pink October because I am currently doing female portraits. It will be in my style: colorful. A pink background to contrast with the face which will be in shades of gray. This portrait will be on two separate windows. ”
