Brawl between bikers in Tarbes: five Hells Angels arrested
Five men were arrested on Tuesday morning in the case of the fatal fight in Tarbes, in the Hautes-Pyrénées. On the sidelines of the Tarbes American Festival at the Parc des Expositions, a fight broke out between rival bands of bikers on Saturday, September 18, 2021. 52-year-old man died after being stabbed. His name was Joseph Pontroué, born in Azereix near Tarbes. The fight also left five injured. After several weeks of difficult investigation, five men belonging to the Hells Angels were therefore arrested at their home, in the South-West and in Ile-de-France.
Conflict between rival gangs
Two men were arrested in the Paris region, including a biker of around 35, suspected of being the author of the fatal stab wounds. Another arrest took place in the Landes department, and two in Toulouse. These are men who are between 35 and 50 years old. They’re all part of the biker community, the Hells Angels, a biker gang rivaling the Rebels.
We know that a conflict between the two groups would have led to the drama that Saturday on the sidelines of the Tarbes American Festival. The five men arrested will spend four days in police custody. The whole stake is to determine the responsibility of each one, knowing that one of them would be the principal author and the others took part in the fatal brawl.
