Toulouse: what to see in October at the Sorano Theater
Between postponements and creations, the month of October for the Toulouse theater is full of great promises
“Tomorrow is to be written. We are always there, humble and irreducible servants of a cause that we would like to be as common as possible: the theater. We must now relearn how to live together the fragile joy of the theater, that which galvanizes, which unites and which we have been so lacking … ”launched Sébastien Bournac, its director, presenting the new season of Sorano. A season, he adds, composed of “50% of the shows of the past two seasons reprogrammed and a lot of creations”.
First, here is the program of what is on offer in this month of October, with, from this Wednesday 6, “Where the goat is tied, she must graze” in which Rebecca Chaillon brings eleven football players and performers to the stage. During a match, it plays, it causes, it attacks, it defends itself … (6/8 oct.) .
We can then see the famous trilogy “Territories” by Baptiste Amann. A large fresco in the shape of a contemporary tragedy, both family and historical, where we will cross the French Revolution, the Commune and the Algerian war (Oct. 16 and 17).
Finally, before the autumn holidays and the Supernova festival which will occupy November, will go “The women of Bluebeard”, a theatrical variation on feminicide that explores the obscure parts of Perrault’s tale in which the women of Bluebeard tell how they were seduced and trapped and how they captivate themselves … (October 20/22)
