The three men were arrested after a lengthy investigation with numerous wiretaps. A pair had been identified and formally recognized by the victims. Concretely, the group went to the homes of the elderly on the pretext of roofing problems. Gaining the trust of their victims, they then entered houses and stole various objects. They were also charging that weren’t actually done.
They were equipped with a bank card reader. Its operation has made it possible to determine that they had collected nearly € 250,000 during the last two years. During searches carried out at their home, € 15,500 in cash and two luxury watches from the Rolex brand were also collected.
At the end of their custody, a man born in 1973 was placed under judicial supervision. The other two, born in 1985 and 1995, were imprisoned in Dunkirk and Longuenesse pending trial.
