Nord and Pas-de-Calais: these roofers have been ripping off and stealing the elderly for months

Their “turnover” is estimated at € 250,000 over the last two years. Monday September 27, 2021, three individuals have been arrested. They are suspected of having committed very many trickery thefts in the North and the Pas de Calais, since May 2020. lashed out at old people under pretext roofing work.
€ 15,500 in cash and Rolex watches
The three men were arrested after a lengthy investigation with numerous wiretaps. A pair had been identified and formally recognized by the victims. The surveillance authorized to arrest three people in the agglomeration of Arras. One of the individuals is on the roof of a house at the time of the events.
Concretely, the group went to the homes of the elderly on the pretext of roofing problems. Gaining the trust of their victims, they then entered houses and stole various objects. They were also charging that weren’t actually done.
They were equipped with a bank card reader. Its operation has made it possible to determine that they had collected nearly € 250,000 during the last two years. During searches carried out at their home, € 15,500 in cash and two luxury watches from the Rolex brand were also collected.
At the end of their custody, a man born in 1973 was placed under judicial supervision. The other two, born in 1985 and 1995, were imprisoned in Dunkirk and Longuenesse pending trial.
