Elizabeth II: this wonderful gift from children

Sugar Mizzy October 1, 2021

At the Balmoral estate, Elizabeth II took advantage of her first public appearance since the start of her summer vacation to meet students from a primary school, this Friday, October 1. The children also offered a nice present, made by themselves, to the sovereign.

This Friday, October 1, Elizabeth II made her first public appearance since the start of her summer vacation at Balmoral. Accompanied by her son Charles, the 95-year-old sovereign met students from a primary school, within the grounds of her Scottish official residence. This meeting was an opportunity for the schoolchildren to offer a beautiful gift to the widow of Prince Philip: a nice book, made by them, with their hand drawn tree illustrations.

Alongside Elizabeth II, the children planted a tree, more specifically a copper beech, for the needs of an initiative related to the Platinum Jubilee. This citizen operation aims to 70 years of reign of Elizabeth II, by creating a network of trees in the United Kingdom. To mark the occasion, four days of festivities will be organized in honor of the queen, the first in the history of the kingdom to a platinum jubilee. On the program: military and air parades, a procession of coaches and an appearance of the royal family on the balcony of Buckingham Palace.

A platinum jubilee under high tension

Will the British royal clan be reunited in full? Doubt remains as to the presence of Prince Harry and his wife Meghan. Both domiciled in California, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex left the United Kingdom with losses and smashes to start their family in the United States. In delicacy with his brother William, Diana’s son recently announced a new explosive city project : the publication of his memoirs, the first volume of which would appear around the platinum jubilee of his grandmother.

In reaction to this publishing contract, Elizabeth II is said to have planned a legal response. “Annoyed by the repeated attacks” of Harry, the English sovereign would have asked her lawyers to consult defamation experts, according to The sun. The Queen had remained silent about media outings, dad to a little girl her grandmother had never met before. Buckingham had simply issued a press release, after couple interview with Oprah Winfrey, concerning the racist innuendos of which little Archie would have been the victim. “Although some memories may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be transformed by the family in private”, We read in this text, the only official reaction after the outcry provoked by the interview.
