Care group ROHA in Amsterdam is the first to embrace LSP Chain Care
September 29, 2021 – 22:26
Three general practices have now gone ‘live’
Care group ROHA (Regional Organization of General Practitioners Amsterdam) started the implementation of LSP Ketenzorg this summer. Three general practices have now gone ‘live’. Through this healthcare application from VZVZ (Association of Healthcare Providers for Healthcare Communication), ROHA GP practices exchange the medical data of patients with a chronic condition in real time from their HIS with the information chain system cKIS from Caresharing. LSP Ketenzorg the OZIS link that is being phased out.
In addition to the ROHA and VZVZ, Caresharing, supplier of the chain information system cKIS, and the suppliers of the general practitioner information systems OmniHis (Scipio), Tetra (Bricks Huisarts) and Dedalus (MicroHIS) are also participating in this innovative project. These three HIS suppliers serve 85% of the general practitioner market in Amsterdam. Under the direction of the ROHA and supported by VZVZ, all parties have carried out the latest practical tests since last April. The implementation of LSP continues and a POH and GP are minimal.
LSP Ketenzorg strengthens cooperation in general practice
Updating patient data between the GP’s HIS and the care group’s KIS now works in both directions in real-time, a major improvement over the OZIS link. Jort Berghuis, GP A’dam Dokter: “LSP Ketenzorg makes it possible to do the chain registration in the HIS and to retain the benefits of the KIS. That was a good wish of the general practitioners and practice nurses: it strengthens the collaboration between GP and practice nurse.”
Growing up to LSP Network Care
LSP Ketenzorg also optimizes the exchange between the HIS and the network care platform cBoards. The choice for LSP Ketenzorg as a replacement for OZIS Ketenzorg offers the ROHA a good future perspective for cooperation. “We are pleased with a solution that makes it possible to grow from chain care to network care”, Huib Hoogendijk of the ROHA added. “LSP Network Care is an important requirement for us to unlock all HIS via the urban collaboration platform cBoards. In this way, as a healthcare group, we can collaborate HIS-independently with general practitioners and our partners in the city.”
Renewed and using the UZI pass very user-friendly
The latest version of cKIS uses the UZI pass version. This is an important improvement for Caresharing. Andra Schmohl of Caresharing: “This automatically updates the KIS file in real time. As a supplier, this enables us to provide a very user-friendly and functional solution for our customers. And that makes LSP Ketenzorg a more than fully-fledged replacement for the OZIS standard.”
Collaboration on ICT standards pays off
A number of years ago, the software suppliers, together with VZVZ, Nictiz and other parties, laid the foundation for the new LPS Ketenzorg standard.
Peter Smithjes, general manager of OmniHis: “It is good to see that what we have devised and developed together is now also used in daily care practice. Each party registers in its own system and shares the data with other employees in a uniform and secure manner. This greatly benefits the exchange of data within healthcare, we let the users experience that it works.”
