MAP | Fewer corona infections in the east of the Netherlands, but significant increase in IJsselland Region
VIEW YOUR MUNICIPALITYThe number of corona infections in the east of the Netherlands continues to fall. In the regions of North and East Gelderland, IJsselland and Flevoland, 131 tested positive today. That is ten less than yesterday. However, there are concerns in IJsselland, where the numbers more than doubled. Raalte, Hardenberg and Staphorst in particular score on the high side.
Iceland
Where the IJsselland region recorded 24 infections on Saturday, today there are 59. That is 18 more than in the past seven days (41). In IJsselland, 7.2 percent of all tests were positive. Municipalities that stand out for many infections are Raalte (21 positive tests per 100,000 inhabitants), Hardenberg (almost 18 per 100,000) and Staphorst (17.4 per 100,000). Steenwijkerland and Dalfsen recorded zero positive tests.
North and East Gelderland
In the North and East Gelderland region, the opposite is happening. This region posted 69 positive results yesterday, up from 38 today. That’s 17 less than in the past seven days (55). In this region 7.4% of the tests were positive. The municipality of Nunspeet is not yet the concern of this region with more than 14 positive tests per 100,000 inhabitants. It is noticeable that only a few people were hit around Zutphen and in the rear corner. Brummen even counted new cases.
Flevoland
In Flevoland, the number of infections dropped from 48 yesterday to 34 today. That is 13 fewer than in the past seven days (47). Urk recorded zero positive test results. Most infections were in Dronten. In Flevoland, 7.9 percent of the tests were positive.
rural
Nationally, the numbers continue to fall. RIVM counted 1,624 infections from Saturday morning to Sunday morning. That is exactly less than yesterday, but it is 44 less than the past seven days (1668). The next day target.
The total number of covid patients included in the number amounts to 473. That is a small increase of three patients compared to yesterday. Of these, 169 are in the ICU, four patients less than yesterday. Last Friday another important milestone was reached. For the first time since July 23, there were fewer than 500 corona patients in a hospital. The National Patient Spread (LCPS) expects a decrease in the influx into hospitals for the week.
