the Toulouse vaccinodrome will close at the end of October
In view of the “decrease in demand” specifies the prefecture, the vaccination strategy in Haute-Garonne is changing and going favor a local offer performed by doctors, pharmacists, nurses, etc. More than 80% of Haut-Garonnais of age to be vaccinated have received a first dose, 70% have a complete vaccination schedule.
From 10 to 6 centers by November
As of next week, the capacities of the current vaccination centers will be revised downwards, foreshadowing the gradual closure of some centers. Mobile vaccination teams, like that of the Region and the Department, will continue to develop.
We will thus go from six vaccination centers to eight in October, then six in November. The vaccination center (Hall 7) is scheduled to close at the end of October. It was considered one of the biggest centers in Europe, with 12,000 injections per day at the height of the campaign. Now that’s 650 bites at best.
For the moment, ten centers are operational in Haute-Garonne: the exhibition center of Toulouse, the congress center Pierre Baudis in Toulouse, the Comminges exhibition center in Villeneuve-de-Riviere, the center of Montastruc, that of Labège, Low wall, Colomiers, Saint-Jory, Villefranche-de-Lauragais and Saint-Orens.
In Tarn-et-Garonne, the prefecture has already announced that the vaccination center will move from this Friday September 24 from the Eurythmy room to the village hall of the market-station of Montauban.
