The people of Slaný attacked the first place, but the bad conclusion is deprived of the medal
Gniezno arrived in Prague in the strongest possible composition of the AFORTI Start team, when his team was reinforced by the excellent Pole Oskar Fajfer, who also starts in the highest Swedish league competition. Home Markéta, on the other hand, lacked her rider No. 1. Jan Kvěch and the AK from Slaný had to do without the services of Jan Mack, who had a fracture of his upper limb in Prague last week. Pardubice, even though they already have the title in their pocket, kept the same line-up as in the previous three rounds, ie with Matej Žagar. Hynek Štichauer also intervened in the race, although she was limited by a broken toe.
The race was even and after the eighth race all teams had the same eight-point gain, after another four races the drivers of AK Slaný played together at the top of the order together with Gniezno. The Slánští held on to their lead even after ride no. 16, when they led together with the home Markéta, but the last series of rides did not succeed very well. The gain of all three points made us forget about the fight for the championship in the race, but also the clearing of positions to eventually gain third or second place, which were evaluated by extra-league tables.
In the end, the meeting at Markéta became a matter for the home team, which gained 34 points, Gniezno secured the second place from the gain of 32 points, and Slaný finished third. The Pole Jamrog, who had time off for the first time in the extra league because was less successful than the Swedish league, was less successful than ever. He was overshadowed by a point better than Oskal Polis. Ondřej Smetana maintained his standard this year and scored 6 points, a newcomer to the Slaný team, the young Bruno Belan completed the extra-league premiere and scored his first two points.
For the overall ranking of the extra league, the result from Prague meant that Start Gniezno / Liberec will finish in second place behind Pardubice’s ZP, the third place went to AK Markéta Prague and the Slaný AK took fourth place this year. Years later, he left the extra-league podium, but since he completed the whole year without the injured Eduard Krčmář and also without Zdeněk Simota, who in the past pulled the team points, moreover, Jan Marek could not intervene in the last round due to injury. cancel. Slánští rather evaluates the year realistically and they are happy that junior Bruno Belan, for example, got the opportunity and another junior Milan Dobiáš was ready to intervene in the races both in Prague and in Liberec from the position of a reserve driver. The young people have been given a chance and will hopefully use it and bet on the next seasons.
