Prague is preparing to reduce other benefits against compliance with other benefits. According to the municipality, about 50,000 people would be entitled to it in October
According to the municipality, 30 people with covid-19 are currently hospitalized in the capital, 11 of whom should be in intensive care units. According to the director of Prague hygiene, Zdeněk Jágrová, these are people who are not vaccinated.
According to Jágrová, the largest group of those infected are children from 6 to 11 years of age, then also adolescents under 16 years of age, and the third most numerous are young adults between the ages of 20 and 29. Outbreaks are said to be undetectable because people often move between home, school and / or work. No stricter anti-epidemic measures are yet to be announced by the hygienist or the municipality.
Vaccination with a third, booster dose
Since the beginning of last year, it has administered over 2 million 100,000 doses against covid-19 in the metropolis. The main vaccination coordinator Martin Ježek wants to focus mainly on vaccinating people between the ages of 20 and 29, because according to him, the least of them are vaccinated, approximately 48%.
Prague is preparing for the third consumer dose; during October, according to the municipality, about 50,000 people would be entitled to it – especially social service providers and their clients. After that, the numbers will gradually increase; in March, according to the forecast, almost 350,000 people will be entitled to the third benefit.
So far, about 4,000 clients and less than 3,000 employees in social services have shown interest in none, which corresponds to approximately 40%. According to Ježek, however, the numbers will gradually increase.
Capacities are said to be insufficient. Although the operation of large-capacity vaccination centers has been limited, they will continue to provide vaccinations to health professionals at more than 30 locations in Prague, there will also be approximately 12 mobile teams and probably also practitioners. According to Ježek, they could be more involved in the vaccination system, because ordering the number of employees, or their storage, is no longer as complicated and demanding as before. Should it be necessary, Prague is ready to increase the capacity in vaccination centers again.
