Guided tour of the exhibition Voscovek and Wherrick call Prague! – Prague 8
Take the last opportunity to visit the interactive exhibition Voscovek and Wherrick call Prague! with a comment from one of the authors! On Wednesday, August 18, Filip Šír, the co-author of the exhibition and the main researcher of the New Phonograph project, will show you at the Chaberský dvůr Cultural Center. “America is calling Czechoslovakia! This is Voskovec and this is Werich. “
So start reporting V + W in 1942 on gramophone records that they recorded in New York and sent to London to make the BBC transmitter to Czechoslovakia possible. The new phonograph in cooperation with the Chaberský dvůr Cultural Center has prepared a unique exhibition, which visitors will be able to see in the practice of its library. The interactive exhibition will be dedicated to the still little-explored life and creative period of Jiří Voskovec and Jan Werich (and their close collaborators) during the Second World War in the USA. During the guided tours, you can look forward to photographs, authentic scenarios, but also to the unique as yet unpublished recordings of Voskovec with Werich and their collaborators.
