After ten years, Prague will raise the price of P + R car parks, some up to five times
Prices will increase after ten years, the increase in the price of primary TSKs and the expansion of bids and losses from last year.
Parking on P + R car parks in Prague will become more expensive from 1 August. Start paying a new system and price list that divides parking according to the distance from the center. Instead of the current 20 crowns, some will pay up to 100 crowns per day, the largest 50 crowns. This is an increase in prices after 10 years.
We recommend raising the price today Technická správa komunikace hl. City of Prague (TSK). Parking lots will be in a total of three zones according to the location and availability of public transport. Zone 0 will remain free with self-service operation and without security and parking for a maximum of 12 hours. For example, there is a parking lot in Běchovice, Kotlářka or Troja during the period outside the ZOO regime.
100 crowns a day closest to the center
Zone 1 will include guarded parking lots with technologies that are more distant to the center and drivers will pay 50 crowns a day for their car. These are, for example, large-capacity car parks for more than 600 cars in Letňany and Chodov and seven other smaller ones. Parking in zone 2 will be the most expensive, for example P + R in Holešovice, near the Congress Center, Ládví and Skalka No. 1, which are guarded parking lots with technologies, closer to the center and with a direct transfer to public transport. The daily rate will rise to 100 crowns.
TSK specifically increased the price of investments in car parks and their expansion, as well as covering the loss from last year. “We believe that commuter drivers have noticed the expanded offers and will have an understanding for changing prices. As in the case of changes in the public transport tariff, in this case the funds are used primarily to maintain the quality and availability of parking lots and connections to public transport,“Says Barbora Lišková, spokeswoman for the Technical Administration of Communications.
The last time the price list for P + R parking was changed in Prague was in 2011, when it became more expensive from ten to twenty crowns. Since then, the capacity has increased by 1,500 seats. In the coming years, the new car park will be displayed in Hostivař, Čakovice or Podbaba, for example. Currently, the half-billion P + R building in Černý Most is also running.
