Art in the streets of Prague – Novinky.cz
After a long month, the quiet city, thanks to the 6th year of the Prague Festival, lives with music fully open to street art in other forms.
The two-day program under the slogan “Art belongs to the streets” includes a number of professional artists. We have to go back to our beginnings, others will try playing on the street for the first time. Together, however, they support a hundred buskers, ie street artists, to whom the festival is mainly dedicated.
For example, musicians Laco Déczi, Ondřej Ruml, Voxel, Bára Zmeková, Aiko, En will perform in the streets of Prague. Dru, Silver Raphael or Brass Avenue. Among the performers will be the winner of the Thalia Award Jakub Gottwald with his project UR-fascism, slamer Anatol Svahilec, Jan Bárta and his movement performance Pitch or artists from Cirqueon.
The program will offer two hundred performances for free at almost forty places. The main festival route passes through the city center with stops in Kampa Park, on the piazza at the Quadria, Jungmann Square, Můstek, Na Příkopě, at the Powder Gate, on the Republic Square, in the atrium of the Archa Palace to the Karlín Barracks. The Old Town Square, the Olympic Garden atrium, the embankment at Rašín’s embankment, the New Synagogue in Palmovka, the outdoor café Šesťák or the area of the former Stalin monument in Letná will also come to life with music.
