Arenberger is verified by Prague 1. He also lives in the apartment where he has a surgery
Minister of Health Petr Arenberger (for the YES movement) will probably have other complications related to his property.
The reason is an apartment with an area of approximately 250 square meters, which Petr Arenberger bought from Prague 1 more than two years ago for approximately 11.6 million crowns.
Under the contract for the sale of the apartment is the signature of the former mayor Pavel Čižinský (Prague 1 to Sobě), who is now in opposition. According to Arenberger, he declared in writing that he would use two rooms for his private practice and another five rooms.
As List News and Television List have already stated, the Minister most likely lives in his villa in Kobylisy, Prague.
The apartment, which Arenberger bought from the first part of the city, houses his sanatorium. It solves the problems of patients with skin, and also offers cosmetic and massage services.
However, he claims that he also uses it for housing. “We keep living in the apartment,” he assured in SMS messages when asked List of Messages.
The current representative of Prague 1, Pavel Čižinský, wrote that this case needed to be re-examined.
“I have included a paragraph in the privatization agreement stating that the Minister must keep the apartment for permanent living for ten years. If it turns out that at the time of privatization, the Minister did not live in the apartment or that he does not live in it today, Prague 1 may demand to be returned, “said Čižinský.
The current management of the first part of the city says that we will have a contractual inspection. “We will look at the contract and find out the possibilities it offers us,” councilor Jan Votoček (TOP 09), for whom the privatization of flats falls, told Seznam Zprávy.
The inspection took place three years ago
At the same time, already in June 2018, it was decided whether Arenberger actually lived in the apartment. Prior to privatization, Arenberger himself sent a letter to Prague 1 in this regard.
He wrote in it that information was spreading at the time that he was also to prescribe in the part of the apartment that was to be used for housing. “A subsequent physical examination by the representatives of the Prague 1 district, who also took the photo documentation of the apartment, refuted this incorrect assumption,” said Arenberger.
According to the attached photos, there was a study, toilet or bathroom in this part of the apartment.
The mentioned property is not the only one that has recently come to the attention of the media. Petr Arenberger stated in the property declaration for 2019 that he owns five of them.
But it turned out that he did not publish everything. When we draw attention to the doubts of Television Seznam and Seznam Zprávy, he stated in his confession as a minister that he had 65 properties at the end of last year.
He owns several buildings and tens of hectares of land, for example in Korycany in the Mělník region.
However, Arenberger has the most valuable assets in Prague. In addition to the mentioned apartment, which he bought from Prague 1, there are also a villa and an apartment building in Kobylisy and another apartment in Žižkov. He and his wife Monika, as well as a holiday cottage in Roudná near Tábor and other real estate.
He also owns a piece of forest in the Mělník region, and half of it also owns a forest in the Domažlice region.
