F1 in Prague: Take a look at the cockpit footage
Residents of the center of Prague could experience an interesting alarm clock. At least some of them pulled the roar of an eight-cylinder Formula 1 out of bed.
The monopost, which was brought to the capital of the Czech Republic by the company Red Bull, has been driving on Charles Bridge since early Wednesday morning. And then he moved to other parts of Prague.
According to available information, Red Bull is shooting a video in the Czech Republic, something similar to energy drinks and lemonade from an advertising manufacturer in the US cities of Miami and San Francisco or in the Netherlands.
The Councilor for Transport of the City Hall of Prague 1, Richard Bureš, revealed to the idnes.cz website that “one large company is shooting a presentation of individual cities in Prague today in connection with Formula One”. He added that a uniform rate of CZK 250,000 applies for the lease of Charles Bridge.
Red Bull itself has not yet provided much information for the event. The project is said to be in the phase of intensive preparations and we will “find out everything in time if we follow the site closely www.redbull.cz/f1 AND Instagram Red Bull CZ“.
During the day, a report on the presence of Formula 1 in the Czech Republic appeared on the company’s Czech website, but even that sounds relatively mysterious.
“She first appeared in a Prague garage. Then she cut it straight over Charles Bridge. What is F1 like in the Czech Republic when there are no races here? Eyes on the stopwatch, senses on the lookout – don’t miss anything in the coming weeks,” on the website of the company, which promises that “when the Red Bull Racing monopost suddenly appears right in the center of Prague, it’s not just that.” We’ll see what happens next. However, the mention of the Czech Republic suggests that the formula could also appear in other well-known places in our country.
The most interesting thing about the Red Bull report is the video capturing the crossing of Charles Bridge (almost) from the cockpit of a monopost. The shots clearly indicate that the pilot certainly did not spare the machine at one of the most valuable Czech monuments. And by the way, notice the driver’s helmet. Although the Scottish coloration suggests that David Coulthard was behind the wheel, the organizers refute his presence.
After filming on Charles Bridge, the RB7 formula, with which Sebastian Vettel became world champion in 2011 and the Red Bull Racing team won the Constructors’ Cup, was released in front of Prague Castle. The event continued on Hradčanské náměstí, where the monopost even drove in front of the cameras, accompanied by motorcycles of the castle guard, as the photos sent to us suggest. Štěpán Šipla. And there were even a few “donuts”. The shooting at the Castle was interrupted for a while by rain.
In the afternoon, the staff moved to the other bank of the Vltava, where it had probably selected the last Prague location. It was the surroundings of Národní třída, because the car was seen posing next to the moving head of the writer Franz Kafka, which is the work of the artist David Černý.
