The repair of the Clinic was drilled, and the squatted new town was not found
The former pulmonary clinic in Jeseniov Street in Prague 3 has been unused for years and wanted. Six years ago, it was occupied by activists and gradually an independent social and cultural center was established in the building. When the building was later acquired by the First Railways (S) and started to be reused, they refused to move out. Last January, the executor had the premises cleared by the uninvited inhabitants for their great attention.
There was nothing wrong with the object. It was only last June that S managed to obtain all the necessary permits and the construction began. After a year, the work is in the final stage.
Interiors are seventy percent complete. Dl works on facades, steels, electrical wiring or air conditioning. The work should end in the end of January of this year, according to Nela Friebov, and the costs reach 80 million crowns.
This is not just a fix. During the first stage, the construction company carried out a number of demolition works, maintaining only the basic construction. Subsequently, the new time with the help of new bakeries significantly changed the current disposition. They are now equipped with such new windows and doors.
After the construction is completed, the wall building will serve its original purpose again.
This is more than half of the total area, which will, for example, serve as a practice, to Friebov. The rest will use the Railway Authority as an administrative building with offices.
New earth activist
While the former medical facility, after years of horses, it was restored and thus gained its definitive use, activists who operated the independent community center Klinika, have no new land yet.
We tried to find new premises, but it was confirmed that there are currently no conditions in Prague for long-term similar non-commercial activities, says one of the Jakub Ort Clinic staff.
According to him, the activist negotiated with the representatives of the magistrate and the town halls of Prague about the possibilities of using some empty spaces, but they did not succeed. Most politicians refused to talk to them very quickly after the clinic cleared the copper, says Ort.
They did not even march at the headquarters of Prague 3, the Klinika nachz was on its land. It is thus certain that the social center does not move into any building in the vicinity so that it can continue to function in the area.
We do not have one day with the representatives of the Klinika team and we do not look for spare premises for them, said the city’s mayor Ondej Rut (Zelen), who is also in charge of local federal activities and non-profit organizations.
members of the Clinic continue to insist that the project, which was controversial for many, or activists stayed in the building for a long time without permission, was beneficial for the city. Not only did cultural events take place in it, but various social services also operated. Jakub Ort claims that the first premises for such activities are currently missing in Prague, similar to the housing available to you.
Despite the search for new land, the members of the former team still do not give up, his core is full of bad things. The people decided to engage in other activities, not to move to other conditions that would change the character of the entire function, says Ort.
The executor was fined
The activists are still in contact, due to the fact that disputes over the unjustified charge of the building ended up in court and the final ride was not settled. In the first place, the team of the Clinic had to pay 900 thousand crowns as costs for the execution of evacuation. In the end, the court ruled that the appeal was about 610 thousand crowns.
This stka was then exchanged for exekun and the front of the Railways, to speak Friebov.
Jakub Ort actually confirms that he has paid the pension. However, they also appealed against this decision to the Constitutional Court. He didn’t decide.
In addition, the Board of Trustees in the Property of Property (ZSVM), which had the building originally managed, and the Railway Authority, as the current owner, filed lawsuits against the members of the collective team for unjust enrichment and profit. Activists are thus threatened to pay another and several million crowns. Even in these cases, the final verdict did not fall.
An activist protests also had to have the Clinic building cleared:
