People in Prague will only have to go to public buildings, shops and public transport stops with their noses and mouths covered. The regulation will take effect on Wednesday at 12:00. The ban will not apply in outdoor areas yet. Mayor Zdeněk Hřib (Pirates) told reporters after Tuesday’s meeting of the crisis staff. The same regulation already applies when entering public transport. Up to 20,000 fines for violating it!
The measure will concern public buildings, state and city police services, medical and social facilities. “But there are also supermarkets or train stations. Simply indoor spaces. We will not extend the regulation to the external ones yet, “said Hřib.
People will also have to have their mouths and noses covered at public transport stops. The same prohibition zone that applies to them under the smoking ban will operate. The regulation will be the city of the inhabitants iinformation, inter alia, by radio in the metro. For public buildings and shops, Hřib expects that the decision will be announced on the signs and doors.
