The new graphic style was first introduced by the town hall in the middle. Its authors are designers from Jakub Vank Studio, who succeeded among 81 adepts in a public competition organized by the Czechdesign organization for the town hall at the end of the year.

The winners received 350 thousand crowns as a reward, the finalist in the second and third places received 40 thousand and 30 thousand crowns, respectively. He gave the costs, but also swallowed a gradual change of all subjects, documents and equipment, which will receive a new logo. This should be seen in the streets in ptch mscch.

Designer Jakub Vank, first of all, that the final form was not created, cars from his darkness passed through Prague 3 and asked the people what characterizes the city center the most.

According to them, the people most perceive Prague 3 as a meeting place and thus they were most inspired by their work. Vank points out that together they designed not only a simple shape, but a complex visual style.

We created a motif based on the three sides on which the bag can be used and used in a system of different depths, explains Vank. The logo can be associated with various slogans, which City Hall will use to promote its various events or campaigns.

The word ti is then replaced in them by the first logo composed of three. This is the one you have to visit in the information center of Prague 3: Do you need advice or straight away?

In the end, even the best design was praised by the graphic designer and pedagogue Petr Babk, who was the only jury. The proposal, which we finally agreed on unanimously, is of high quality and has a high potential, he said.

And according to his words, the mayor of the town Ji Ptek (TOP 09) is also satisfied with the resulting work. According to him, it would be the biggest hurry if the new visual form was accepted by the locals and they started using it themselves.

That’s why the town hall will soon be able to offer stickers, so can it, and he gave items with three words. Prague 3 wants to use the logo itself on its official documents. The emblem will be a new version of the town hall newspaper.

Contradictory reactions

Only shortly after the publication of the new logo, a heated debate broke out on the social walls about the form of the new logo.

In addition to many laudatory and regrettable comments, some paused over the conspiracy that the town hall had made. Others, on the other hand, criticized the idea of ​​choosing a new logo at all and suggested pensions to be paid to the necessary people, such as the community.

A similar step, as Prague 3 has now taken, has not been planned by the big city. Some of them have changed their logo in recent years. The only exception is Prague 10, which currently uses only its official emblem. Whether we will add a logo in the future, which was suitable for a modern presentation, is still being considered, and Jan Hamrnk, Prague 10, adds to the similarity.
