Purchasing power in the regions is leveling off, Prague is slipping away from the rest of the republic
Praguers have the highest purchasing power per capita in the Czech Republic, where in 2018 it reached 128.7 percent of the national average, the lowest in the Moravian-Silesian Region (89.2 percent).
Flows to z analysis GfK, which maps the unevenness of the level of disposable income of the inhabitants of individual parts of the republic. Despite the differences, it is clear from the comparison that the differences between individual regions are gradually decreasing and that they are not nearly as high as in most European countries.
The average of the Czech Republic exceeds mainly Prague and Central Bohemia, the north-eastern part of the Pilsen Region, the central part of the South Moravian and Liberec Regions, as well as most metropolises of other regions.
The only one region where no municipality exceeds the national average in terms of purchasing power is the Moravian-Silesian Region. Bruntál has the lowest level of purchasing power among the districts.
The difference between the region with the highest and lowest relative relative strength (Prague vs. Moravian-Silesian Region) is 39.5 percent. Year-on-year, this percentage difference in purchasing power decreased by 2 percent.

Among the 10 municipalities with the highest purchasing power per capita, there are a total of 9 Central Bohemian municipalities and the capital city of Prague. At the opposite pole among the ten poorest municipalities, we find mainly localities from the Ústí nad Labem and Moravian-Silesian regions.
