Finep invests billions in Bratislava and will build thousands of flats
The leading Czech development group Finep will once again start large-scale housing construction in the Slovak capital. It will build on the Bratislava project Jégého alley, in which it has built a thousand flats in the last decade.
“In Bratislava, next to the Jégého alley project, we bought additional land in the order of a thousand flats. I expect to launch another project there next year. It will be an investment in billions of crowns, “said Michal Kocián, Finep’s co-owner, in an interview with E15 Premium magazine.
Finep entered the Slovak capital in 2006. During that time, he built almost a thousand housing units there in four stages of Jégé Avenue. He also offers housing there in the Premiere project, which is a 23-storey building. The prices of flats in Bratislava do not leave much behind the prices in Prague, as do the prices of land.
Finep’s foreign engagement does not end with Slovakia. “We are looking at different countries, now, for example, the head of the Kocián group’s board of directors has delivered to Germany, saying that it is a residential project. According to him, the most attractive thing in Germany is to obtain a building permit and market transparency. Finep leaves the publication of further details for later, its co-owner claims that so far it is only a consideration of a possible expansion.
Apart from Europe, Finep has been operating in Mongolia for four years. By the end of 2023, he intends to build around two thousand flats there.
In Prague, Finep is one of the largest housing developers. In addition to residences, the holding also managed to gain a foothold in the office market. The developer managed to attract tenants of well-known brands, such as Siemens, Komerční banka or Vodafone, to the City West administrative complex in Prague’s Stodůlky, which grew up right next to the residential British Quarter. Conclusion Finep sold well-leased properties for billions of crowns.
