The next few days promise to be eclectic culturally in Toulouse. Concert, circus, techno festival, 80s parties… Toulouse News you suggest some ideas for outings in and around the Pink City. Here is the cultural agenda, from Thursday February 2 to Wednesday February 8, 2023. Follow the guide!
#1. Camille Lellouche in concert
We know his talents as a comedian but it is as a singer that Camille Lellouche travels to Toulouse on February 8. The artist gives a concert at the Casino Barrière as part of his “A Tour”, which follows the release of his first album, which oscillates between French chanson and urban pop.
#2. Circus Aïtal (show under a marquee)
Victor, the Toulouse colossus and Kati, the Finnish flying twig, are back with a bubbling creation of energy. This show under the marquee is a declaration of love for the circus, with 8 artists and 4 musicians and equestrian aerobatics. On the swirling track, surrounded by their finished and Swiss friends, virtuosos of the bar on the ground, completely barred mass juggler, damn “fortiche” acrobats, Kati and Victor tell us about the intimacy of a life under a big top, the hidden face of everyday life, between joys and galleys, discouragements and successes. They string together funny and breathtaking feats and defy the laws of gravity under the leadership of four inspired musicians. A show not to be missed!
#3. Great symphonic concert with Tom Borrow
Barely 20 years old, Tom Borrow is already one of the great pianists of his time. Discovered last year in Toulouse, the musician displays a striking maturity and seems to know no limited technique. Robert Trevino accompanies him in Ravel’s Concerto in G major, a work whose transcendent virtuosity also demands a pianist-poet… For this concert, Robert Trevino accompanies Tom Borrow in Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 11 and the Concerto in G major of Ravel.
PRICES: from 18 to 65 € / 5 € for under 27s
#4. Legends of La Grave
Do you really know La Grave? This famous dome has become the emblem of Toulouse. On Friday 3 February, storytellers from the La Cour des Contes company, accompanied by musicians, bring the history of this monument to life with poetry and humour.
Under its dome, it is indeed said that once lived very strange characters; vagabonds, acrobats, debauchees, madmen and other bohemian birds brought together by order of the King. Between accordion, double bass and clarinet, let yourself be carried away on a storytelling, sung and enchanted journey on the wings of the imagination..
PRICES: €7 (If the session is full, other dates are available: info and reservations on toulouse-tourisme.com)
#5. Soso Maness in Bikini
Soso Maness arrives in Bikini! After the surge “So Maness”, the tidal wave “Band Organisée” – with his famous verse Zumba Cafew – the Marseille rapper has established himself as a key figure in music in France.
#6. A farewell dinner (at the theatre)
Why do we go so often to dinners where we don’t want to go? To see friends who aren’t really friends anymore? In order to “tidy up their diaries”, Pierre and Clotilde Lecoeur decide to organize farewell dinners, the ultimate form of friendly divorce… This event piece signed by the authors of Le Prénom is a real success. A funny and caustic satire!
#7. Rex Electronic Festival
Three days of electronic music, techno version, this is what the Plein Phare association offers as part of the Rex Electronic Festival. An event that takes place from February 2 to 4 at the Rex in Toulouse, in the city center. On the program, big names like Braxe, Falcon, Danke Al, Eli Brown, Camille Trb or Vitess…
