  • On Sunday, February 12, 2023, the new elections for the 19th Berlin House of Representatives will take place in Berlin.
  • It is questionable whether Franziska Giffey will be allowed to keep her post as governing mayor.
  • If you don’t yet know who to vote for: Here you will find the Wahl-O-Mat, the online decision-making aid for your election.

Wahl-O-Mat for the 2023 parliamentary elections in Berlin: You can now find the online tool here

Our editorial team is a media partner of the Wahl-O-Mat the Federal Agency for Civic Education/bpb and the Berlin State Agency for Civic Education.

This is how the Wahl-O-Mat works

The official Wahl-O-Mat 2023 from the Federal Agency for Civic Education (bpb) asks questions about current and crucial political issues. The parties answered this in advance of the selection of MPs.

The voter can now simplify questions in the internet tool “agree”, “I do not agree” or in case of indecision “neutral” or “Skip This” respond.

After answering the questions, YOU can select up to eight parties with which YOU want to compare your political positions.

In addition to the parties currently represented in the House of Representatives, the political theses of the other parties involved in the election of MPs in 2023 in Berlin line up, be compared with your own opinion.

In addition, the Wahl-O-Mat 2023 offers an overview of all party positions, compares the justifications for each individual thesis and presents the approved parties in a short profile.
