The TFC in court against the LFP and the FFF
The TFC takes care of its finances. The promoter is claiming €45.5 million from the Professional Football League (LFP) and the French Football Federation (FFF). The Haut-Garonne club, 12th in Ligue 1, is taking two legal actions against the authorities following “three recent decisions by the LFP which went against the financial health of Toulouse FC”according to the expression formulated in a letter sent last season by the club to the League.
Other ongoing litigation
Finally, the TFC is expecting an additional €16.5 million as part of the contribution of CVC. On this last point, the club constituted, as it moved up to L1 last summer when the agreement with the investment fund for the creation of the commercial company of the LFP entered into force, having to receive the same, or €33 million, as a club that stuck to it.
Toulouse’s request was studied and rejected by the body’s board of directors on June 30, 2022. Contacted, Toulouse FC and the LFP informed us that they did not wish to comment. This litigation is not the only one in progress for the LFP which has others (OL, Amiens, Ajaccio) for a total amount of 318 M€. This accumulation is not without consequence. She saw her insurance premium drop from 250,000 euros three years ago to 1.7 million euros this season.
