The Toulouse Métropole Low Emission Zone (ZFE), a measure imposed by the State and Europe on metropolitan areas to combat air pollution, came into force in March 2022. Since January 1, 2023, it concerns private vehicles , classified Crit’air 4 and 5, and excluding Crit’air sticker.
An online form available since January 23
To allow the owners of these vehicles to travel occasionally within the perimeter of the ZFE, Toulouse Métropole has set up a ZFE pass. Available since January 23, 2023 online, on the Toulouse Métropole website, the form has had some success. More than 1,200 motorists registered their vehicle on the site in one week.
The ZFE pass authorizes prohibited vehicles to drive for a maximum of 52 days
This ZFE pass can be downloaded either for a single day or for several days. The limit is set at 52 days per year. This ZFE pass is open to all motorists, regardless of their place of residence. After connecting via the MonToulouse or France Connect account, you must fill in the vehicle registration, its brand, its Crit’Air sticker, and upload a scan or photo of the vehicle’s registration document.
68€ fine, checks by smart cameras announced for 2024 by the government
This ZFE Pass is free, and must be kept by the motorist, in the event of an inspection, on the days when he is driving in the ZFE. It should be remembered that law enforcement checks, for the moment in reduced numbers, will increase in power during 2024. Automated checks, carried out with smart cameras, will then come into force, at the entrances and exits of the ZFE, as well as within its perimeter. The perimeter of the ZFE includes the city of Toulouse inside the ring road, and part of the western ring road.
