In Ukraine, the process of passing the military medical commission is being reformed: what is changing – UNIAN
In military institutions, electronic document management is being introduced, and state processes are being automated, which reduce the burden on wounded heroes.
In Ukraine, they plan to digitize the processes of passing military medical commission. Now they are not digitized at all.
About this using Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov. In short, the state should minimize its bureaucracy in the army for the military, who risk their lives every minute defending Ukraine.
Fedorov, in addition to the fact that now injured fighters are forced to spend time in queues, go to various institutions, collect purchase documents to confirm their injuries. Then the commission gives an expert opinion on what to do to a soldier after being wounded: to be discharged from service, transferred to another position or return to the units to continue service.
“For example, a soldier was wounded near Bakhmut. He was evacuated to a Kyiv hospital for rehabilitation. After treatment, the soldier must be returned to his unit to receive a paper referral to the VLK. Then collect a bunch of documents that are still available for passing the VLK, which may be in another place altogether And such a “quest” must be completed, even if a soldier’s arm or leg was amputated,” the minister cited as an example.
Therefore, the team of the Ministry of Defense, together with the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Veterans, developed a plan for the digitalization of the military medical commission.
“Electronic document management will reduce queues. Automation of processes reduces the load on wounded heroes. This is only a small part of what needs to be digitized in the military sphere. Our military deserves to receive human services,” Fedorov said.
Commentary of the Ministry of Health regarding changes in the work of the VLK
In turn, the Ministry of Health toldwhich will change in the near future during the passing of military medical commissions.
According to the head of the Ministry of Health, Minister Viktor Lyashko, electronic document management is being implemented in military institutions, public processes are being automated, and wounded soldiers are being given the opportunity to undergo rehabilitation alongside local housing.
“Everyone knows about rare cases when servicemen, after being injured, spent time in huge queues, dealing with red tape and running around various institutions in order to get an expert opinion. This complicated and bureaucratized quest is a thing of the past,” he noted.
Therefore, according to Lyashko, in the near future relevant departments and ministries are planning to implement several steps to complete the digitalization process of the VLK.
“This is electronic document management in military facilities to remove paperwork and queues; automation of processes to reduce the burden on wounded servicemen; proper service for the wounded; the possibility of rehabilitation near the place of residence; improving the qualifications of doctors in the field of VLC,” the minister said.
According to him, this is only part of the changes. “We continue to study the problems and introduce changes that will remove bureaucracy from the lives of the military,” Lyashko added.
