How to vote in national elections in Monaco?
Whether you are on site or remotely, we explain everything about this democratic meeting of the utmost importance.
The national elections are fast approaching, they will take place next Sunday, February 5, 2023. And to elect the 24 National Councillors, the Monegasques have an appointment at Espace Léo Ferré located in the heart of the Fontvieille district, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.without interruption.
Notice to voters: remember to bring your identity card or your Monegasque passport, as well as your voter’s card sent by the Town Hall during the last fortnight of January.
For people who have not received their voter card before polling day, don’t panic. You can collect it the same day, directly at the Espace Léo Ferré, at the Nationality Office, on presentation of your identity document.
As a reminder, for the national elections on February 5, two lists are registered: the Union Nationale Monégasque, led by Brigitte Boccone-Pagès and the NIM (New Ideas for Monaco) led by Daniel Boeri.
Proxy Voting
If it is now too late to vote remotely for the next national elections (the deadline was set for January 27), the request for proxy voting is still possible for local elections : it must be done before Friday, March 10 at 6 p.m.
It is done online at town hall website Or on MonGuichet.mc. For Monegasques who are more comfortable with paper, it is possible to apply for a power of attorney via a form to be obtained from Monaco Town Hall or downloaded from son website or on the government’s: www.gouv.mc.
