Pavel Čižinský (Prague to himself): Did Ryvola (ANO) and Radoměřská (TOP 09) really not know? Or are they lying?

POLITICIANS IN THEIR OWN WORDS The representative of Prague 1 for Prague 1 to himself on his Facebook on November 26 regarding the replacement of tram tracks in Malá Strana
So let’s summarize how it was with the fact that even during the replacement of the tram tracks in Malá Strana, transit cars will flow through the Old Town.
ODS, TOP 09, ANO and co. for a long time, they refuse to cancel the passage of cars through the center around the Charles Bridge. And they don’t care (or don’t even know) that they are also violating their own resolution from 2015, according to which they are obliged to “promote the relocation of transit car traffic from Malé Stran and Staré Město to the Blanka tunnel complex”.
Because the tracks will be replaced on the Malá Strana, there is a risk that everything will spill over to the Old Town (Křižovnická street and Smetanovo nábřeží), where traffic will collapse. Therefore, on 14/12/2022, at the Prague 1 council, we called “in order to prevent the overflow of traffic on the right bank, an experimental implementation of a loop on the right bank and the closure of Křižovnické náměstí and Smetanova nábřeží for passage is proposed. I know that it is under the responsibility of Mr. cities, but Prague 1 is definitely up to it. The situation is uncertain now, but I wanted to appeal that this opportunity for a transport experiment be used. If you don’t intend or support it, then why?” (interpellation of Pavel Marc).
Councilor Ryvola replied: “We’ll see what happens tomorrow at the Municipality. I need a partner to start negotiating about it. I won’t say here if I support it or not, I support everything that has a head and a heel… It doesn’t matter to me, a councilor for transport must be appointed. m of Prague and start talking with him about how to use it.” See page 47 HERE.
On January 4, 2023, Municipal Councilor for Prague Adam Scheinherr held a meeting with Prague 1, with the Technical Administration of Communications, etc., where it was proposed that transit through the Old Town be closed during the works. Prague 1 (specifically the head of the Czital department) refused it.
During January, more and more citizens began to get upset on Facebook as to why transit through the Old Town would not be restricted during the works. Councilor Ryvola wrote: “can you please write to me how I fight against the closure of the banks, you probably know more than I do” and denied that someone from Prague 1 had decided not to close the banks. Tomáš Macháček then argued that no one would follow the ban anyway, as he did not follow it in 2019.
Then Adam Scheinherr wrote in the Facebook discussion that the closure of transit during the closure was rejected by Prague 1, specifically by the head of Czital and called on Councilor Ryvola to – if the head of Czital has a different opinion – proceed with the closure. The spokesman of Prague 1, Petr Bidlo, responded by saying: “Mr. Deputy, please, we will all have our hands full with this, so let’s approach it responsibly and correctly”. And Councilor Ryvola wrote to Adam Scheinherr: “Please let me know who from Prague 1 refused something. I’ll go ask him about it.”
Nevertheless, councilor Ryvola continues to write falsely or probably in a misleading way (e.g. 20.1.2023): “The first official meeting on dates, detour routes and suitable alternatives took place last week with the participation of deputy Scheinherr… Neither I nor the mayor took part in these preparatory works , because we were not invited to do so…” (which is not true, because the official meeting took place on January 4, 2023) or “I did not receive any proposal to close the embankment from Mr. Scheinherr. So I could not reject what is not”. Yes, Councilor Ryvola himself was apparently not at the meeting on 4/1/2023, but he forgot to add that his closest subordinate Czital was there and he blocked it.
It can therefore be summarized that the current management does not respect its own resolution that transit should be moved from the center of the threshold, and de facto supports the completely unnecessary passing of cars around the Charles Bridge. And if, in a critical situation, I try to resolve the situation at least temporarily with the City Hall, Prague 1 fails, but then tries to untruthfully twist it out on social networks.
The only relevant question is this: did councilor for transport Ryvola (YES) and mayoress Radoměřská (TOP 09) really not know that on 01/04/2022 the head of the transport department of Prague 1 Czital vetoed transit restrictions at the municipality? Or are they just lying? And which of the two variants is actually worse for Prague 1?
We will try to talk to them about this at the council.
