Bus driver seriously injured in rear-end collision

Shortly after midnight, a 35-year-old bus driver was seriously injured and three other people were slightly injured in a rear-end collision involving two public buses near the Neutor in the city of Salzburg. A 54-year-old driver had given way to a bus.
The 38-year-old driver of the bus therefore had to brake suddenly. A following bus could no longer stop sooner and be pushed into the rear of the first, becoming trapped.
The 35-year-old had to be rescued by the professional fire brigade and was then taken to the university hospital by the Red Cross. Another three people suffered light reconnaissance in the accident. Neutorstrasse was completely closed in both directions while the accident was being recorded.
The accident was triggered by a 54-year-old woman from Salzburg who was heading towards the city center on Neutorstraße. You line up in front of the bus at Hildemannplatz, where the bus lane changes into a general lane, even though the bus had priority.
