Day in support of the SOS Méditerranée association
Raising awareness. That’s the whole purpose of “12 p.m. for SOS Mediterranean“. This day, organized this Saturday at The Grainery in Balma, serums entirely dedicated to the sea rescue association. This has saved nearly 37,000 people, including a quarter under the age of 18, since 2016. About fifty volunteers and many artists, who have chosen to play for free, will be present during this day. On the program of the “12h for SOS Méditerranée”: concerts, workshops, exhibition and shows.
The event will begin with a reading-cello duet with Annabelle Rodriguez and Auguste Harlé. Right after, dice testimonies of survivors and sea rescuers will be read during the performance “Save Our Souls”. You will then be able to discuss with witnesses present on the set, but also discover the SOS Méditerranée exhibition or even participate in workshops in the hall of La Grainerie. Finally, the evening will close with a concert by Lili Marlene.

A participatory planting in Saint-Jean this January 28

The objective of this one: to reforest the Tuilerie lake. Ash, linden, maple, pear, plum, but also hawthorn, dogwood, rosehip, privet… In all, 450 trees and shrubs must be planted to form a 150-metre-long plant strip between Chemin Verdale and the park.
“The will of the municipality is to revive biodiversity, limit soil erosion and create a natural barrier against the wind”, explains Bruno Espic, the mayor of Saint-Jean, on the site of the municipality. But to allow this reforestation, the City needs help and invites everyone to participate in the plantations. So all you have to do is put on your gardening gloves and go to Tuilerie Lake to plant trees and shrubs with friends, family or even alone.
