Minister Dumitru Alaiba emphasized the need to jointly promote business opportunities for the business community from the two states, which represent a market of 23 million people, Romanians and Moldovans.
In the exchange of views, the importance of attracting investments and supporting the activities of export-oriented SMEs was emphasized.
“As I said before, we will promote and support the Republic of Moldova in relations with the European Union in terms of the internal market. Europe is redefining itself from an economic point of view and it is important for Romania to position itself next to the Republic of Moldova”, stated Minister Florin Spătaru.
Romania is the main commercial partner of the Republic of Moldova, with a share of 20.7% of the total trade value.
