Slavia and transfers: Norwegian Christos Zafeiris on the radar, Catch maybe now
One more reinforcement. Or just two? The chairman of Slavia, Jaroslav Tvrdík, admitted that the list of new players does not have to be closed. The new arrivals could be the 19-year-old midfielder from Haugesund, Norway, Christos Zafeiris, and the faster signing of Mojmír Chytil from Sigma Olomouc is also not excluded.
Petr Hronek, David Pech, Babacar Sy, Igoh Ogbu and… Slavia still did not finish strengthening their squads in the winter transfer window. Although the head of the club Jaroslav Tvrdík and Jindřich Trpišovský unanimously declared that they are satisfied with the current situation, they do not rule out further expansion of the staff.
The main topic in Eden now is the arrival of talented midfielder Christos Zafeiris. The Norwegian with Greek roots has an impressive profile, at the age of nineteen he has already recorded over eighty competitive matches, he is a supporter of the Norwegian twenty-one team and Haugesund. In this last Elitserien, he played 29 matches, scored four goals and assisted in another five.
German, French and Dutch interested parties were supposed to join the queue for him, but in all cases Haugesund postpones negotiations until the summer. The club is counting on the fact that after the under-21 EURO, in which the Norwegians will meet the Swiss, French and Italians in the group, its price on the market will rapidly rise.
The same applies to Slavia. But she is still pushing also because she fears – if she doesn’t catch the player now – she will be inclined to transfer to a better competition. And Zafeiris is definitely not resisting the interest of the Vršovice team, the Red and White would like to take advantage of that. There is talk of an offense part exceeding two million euros, Haugesund will then keep ten percent of the profit from the next sale.
“You know Slavia’s policy that we only announce transfers when they are completed,” Tvrdík replied briefly to Sport’s question.
Slavia has until February 15, when the transfer window closes in the Czech Republic, but the Norwegians understandably ignore this deadline. That is, they don’t rush, because they are now “falling asleep” in their inverted guard, during February and March they will prepare for the next season and it will start in the second week of April. In the last one, Haugesund placed tenth.

Chytil’s quick move is not out of the question
Mojmír Chytil could eventually become another reinforcement in the winter. The much-travelled striker of Sigma Olomouc is currently preparing with his parent club, but the way to Eden could be freed up for him after all.
“We have agreed on everything with Olomouc, at this moment it is not the case that the player will come in this period,” says Tvrdík, on the other hand, behind-the-scenes information does not rule out a quick transfer. In addition to the chiseled conditions, the player already completed a medical examination under the supervision of Slavist doctors in Prague at the end of the week.
