Airbus announces the recruitment of more than 13,000 people in 2023 worldwide

The planets should remain aligned in 2023, for the world’s leading aircraft manufacturer. “To support the rise in power of its commercial aircraft, meet the challenges of defence, space and helicopters”, Airbus announced Thursday, January 26 from its global headquarters in Toulousehis desire to “recruit more than 13,000 people in the world” this year.
To meet the challenge of “decarbonization”
“About 7,000 of them will be newly created positions across the company,” the aerospace giant said.
“The new hires will be instrumental in supporting our industrial ramp-up and Airbus’ ambitious decarbonization roadmap and in preparing for the future of aviation.”
Already 13,000 recruitments made in 2022
After the tremors linked to the Covid pandemic, activity has resumed with renewed vigor at Airbus, which is hiring again with a vengeance. “In 2022, we welcomed more than 13,000 new employees within Team Airbus around the world, in a complex environment that has tested our resilience and attractiveness as a global employer,” observes Thierry Barrel, Group Global Human Resources Director.
“Following the success of our recruitment last year, we will again hire more than 13,000 employees in 2023. We call on talented people around the world to join us in our journey to make sustainable aerospace a reality. and to help us create a better, more diverse and inclusive workplace for all of our employees.”
Also according to Airbus, “this new recruitment campaign will be global”, with an emphasis on technical profiles and of manufacturingas well as on “the acquisition of new skills supporting the long-term vision of the company”, in areas such as new energiesthe computer science and the digital.
9,000 jobs in Europe
Contacted by Toulouse Newsthe aircraft manufacturer refuses for the time being to deliver the details of the sites of establishment of these thousands of new Airbusians, but it advances that “more than 9,000 of these positions will be in Europe, and the rest across our global network.” To know also that about “a third of the total recruitment will be recognized to young graduates”.
Airbus currently employs over 130,000 people in its activities around the world, of which about a quarter in the Toulouse region.
