Charlene of Monaco solo for her 45th birthday: why she didn’t celebrate her birthday with her husband
January 25 marked the 45th birthday of Charlene of Monaco but the celebrations were tarnished by an unforeseen event.
- Charlene of Monaco turned 45 on January 25, 2023
- She had herself prepared a party at the height of the event
- Prince Albert II could not be present due to an unfortunate unforeseen event
The unexpected can affect everyone, even royal families. This is what unfortunately happened to Charlene of Monaco on January 25, 2023, the day she celebrated her 45th birthday. As Here, to whom royal families expert Bertrand Deckers spoke, explains, “it was supposed to be a surprise party but Charlene decided to take part in it personally. It will be a party at the Palace, with family and friends“. And for the occasion, the wife of Prince Albert II of Monaco requisitioned the services of “Julien Dugourd, the pastry chef of the Chèvre d’Or restaurant in Eze“to make your birthday cake. Enough to plan a nice evening, all in a room decorated with white proteas”which are flowers from South Africa”.
Only the evening did not go as planned, far from it. Indeed, still according to Here, Prince Albert II tested positive for coronavirus, and therefore could not take part in the celebrations. For the prince, this is the third contamination with Covid-19. The Palace was quick to give some news through a press release to reassure the population of the Rock. “Asymptomatic, his state of health inspires absolutely no concern. He works remotely, in permanent contact with the members of his cabinet, his government as well as with his close collaborators.. As the rule now well known, Albert II also follows a period of isolation.
Charlene and Albert of Monaco more united than ever?
An isolation which therefore prevented him from celebrating the 45th birthday of the princess despite the great celebration which had been organized on this occasion. This unforeseen event adds to the long list of events in recent years that have turned the daily life of Charlene and Albert of Monaco upside down. As a reminder, the princess was also affected by a serious ENT infection in 2021 because of which she had to stay in South Africa for several months instead of a few weeks, and undergo several operations there. Her return to Monaco had been very brief before she joined a private clinic in Switzerland to rest, both physically and mentally. These trips had then provoked some questions about the royal couple who, since then, have all the same multiplied the public appearances.
