The campaign is almost over. Pavel performed with Nerudova or Fischer, Babiš will no longer be among the public — ČT24 — Czech Television
Petr Pavel and Andrej Babiš were supposed to meet for the debate organized by Novinky.cz already on Monday, but Pavel excused himself due to illness, so it took place two days later. The two candidates argued about the way the campaign was conducted and about security issues. But there was agreement on some issues. They did not question the role of the Senate, not a single one would pardon Jana Nečasová, as the current president Miloš Zeman did.
When Babiš and Pavlo broke up, both also claimed that nothing surprised them at the debate. “Andrej Babiš is also a voice,” declared Pavel, who won the first round of the presidential election. Babiš, in turn, declared that his “main rival is the media, so everything is the same”.
Babiš plans to spend the end of the pre-election period with his team in the central ANO movement in Chodov, Prague. He does not want to talk about the program in too much detail, but he also expects interviews with journalists. He confirmed that he does not expect to walk among people again. “I sat with the police until the evening. My wife and I have asked for protection, so I will appear in public as little as possible,” he sent.
Pavel, on the other hand, went public again after a two-day break. Me for the last time. He first spoke at a press conference, where he called for participation in the elections, and then at a public meeting on the Old Town Square in Prague. Danuše Nerudová, Pavel Fischer and Marek Hilšer, who also ran for the head of state, came to support him again, and in the first round they finished in third, fourth and sixth place.
The day of the two presidential candidates, who advanced to the second round, concluded with one more debate, this time televised on Prima. Babiš and Pavla still have Thursday’s debate on Nová, and on Friday just before the start of the second round, they will meet on Czech Radio.
