The oatmeal concept Oat Day Long expanded with the acquisition of Ana Attention, good for four coffee bars in Brussels and Ghent. Oats Day Long started to 20 locations within three years.
More coffee assortment
Oats Day Long, a catering formula that focuses on breakfast with oatmeal, is on a strong journey of conquest. The young chain takes the four coffee bars from Ana Attento – in the past OR Coffee – about, so that there are branches at the Brussels stock exchange, in the European quarter in Brussels, at the Vooruit in Ghent and at the Ghent Dok Noord.
Ana Attento’s coffee bars are being converted to Oats Day Long, but will keep their focus on coffee. In this way, the takeover also means an expansion of the range: the coffee offer will soon be added to other locationsreport founders Ewout and Anse Vanmassenhove to De Tijd.
Capital injection of 1 million
The expansion is necessary, because Oats is aiming for Day Long within two to three years twenty breakfast bars in Belgium and the Netherlands. The chain itself already has six restaurants in Antwerp, Ghent, Brussels, Leuven and Kortrijk. In 2022, Oats Day Long recorded a turnover of 3 million euros and an EBITDA of around 700,000 euros. The aim this year is to generate a turnover of 800,000 euros in each branch.
The new acquisition was made possible by a recent capital increase of 1.1 million euros: investment fund Harvest (also eg Bavet) and brother and sister Vanmassenhove each hold half of the shares today.
