A new store network is coming to Hungary: the first Primark store opens in Budapest
According to the company’s announcement, the expansion in Hungary shows Primark’s continued commitment to the Central and Eastern European region, after successfully opening stores in Slovenia, Poland, the Czech Republic and Romania.
According to the plans, it will also open its first store in Slovakia this year, making Hungary the sixth and then the seventeenth country in Central and Eastern Europe where a Primark store operates.
Primark operates 416 stores in 15 countries on the European continent and in the United States of America. The range of the new Budapest store will include a number of licensed products, including NBA and Disney-branded goods, as well as Primark’s ever-growing sub-brand Primark Cares, which, in accordance with the department store chain’s aspiration, makes more sustainable fashion more affordable for everyone.
Based on its successful expansion into the Central and Eastern European region that began in 2019, Primark plans to expand its network with new locations in Bucharest, Romania, and Lodz and Wroclaw, Poland, in addition to this year’s store opening in Slovakia. According to the company’s expectations, its global store portfolio will consist of 530 stores by 2026.
