Prague canceled the selection of companies for the construction of a parking garage in Opatov
According to the council’s October decision, the association of BAK stavební společnost, Metrostav DIZ and Geosan Group should have won the contract.
The Prague municipality canceled the selection of the association of construction companies BAK stavební společnost, Metrostav DIZ and Geosan Group, which was supposed to build a P+R parking garage near C Opatov metro station for the capital for 659.9 million crowns without VAT. This is what the Prague councilors are talking about today. The city complied with the objection filed by another tender participant. The planned building is to have a capacity of 495 parking spaces.
The city councilors approved the selection of companies at the end of last October. However, according to today’s approved document, objections were received from the associations of companies Gardenline, Yucon CZ and Adefex, which also participated.
According to the objection, the winning association provided false information in the qualification criteria for the team members who were supposed to work on the construction site. The municipality stated that it was not possible to obtain additional information from the winner of the tender within the settlement period. “Therefore, in view of the above-mentioned facts, it is proposed to cancel the said decision on the selection of the supplier, and at the same time it is proposed to order the evaluation committee to carry out a new assessment and evaluation of the bids,” is stated in the explanatory report for today’s councilors’ resolution.
The four-story parking garage in Jižní Město is intended to provide commuting drivers with connections to the subway and buses. On its roof, the city plans to build a park, which is to serve, among other things, clients from a nearby home for the elderly. Last year, representatives of the Spolu coalition (ODS, TOP 09, KDU-ČSL) criticized the fact that the selection of the supplier was decided by the serving council after the elections.
The year before last, Prague completed the construction of a P+R parking garage for 886 cars at Černý Most for around half a billion crowns. Last year, B started the construction of another one near the Nové Butovice metro station, which is to accommodate 400 stalls and cost 293 million crowns. Another house is planned by the municipality, for example, in Zličín. P+R parking lots are intended primarily for commuters in Central Bohemia and are intended to ease traffic in the metropolis by allowing drivers to leave their cars on the outskirts of the city and continue using public transport.
