San Marino. Unions, the workers’ assembly approves the agreement hypothesis for the private building contract
The trade union federations have the mandate to sign, in the next few days, the agreement for the renewal of the contract with the employers’ associations.
The federations gave the news in a joint press release CSdL Construction and Services Unit, CDLS Construction and Services And Industry-Crafts-Building USLwho specify: “The Assembly of private construction workers, which met in the Sala Montelupo di Domagnano last Wednesday 18 January, with a secret vote approved almost unanimously the hypothesis of an agreement for the renewal of the sector contract.
By virtue of this approval, the Trade Union Federations pertaining to CSdL – CDLS – USL have received the mandate to sign the contractual agreement with the counterparties ANIS, OSLA and UNAS.
The contents of this agreement, which will be signed by the trade unions and employers in the coming days, first of all provide for the recognition of a one-off economic increase for previous years, from 2018 to 2022, totaling €. 1,500.
For 2023, starting from 1 January, the wages of private construction workers will benefit from a 2% increase, followed by a further increase of 1.5% for 2024, and 1% for 2024. 2025. The overall capitalized increase (excluding the one-off portion) will be more than 4.5% in the three-year period 2023-2025.
Once the agreement has been signed, in the following months the same agreement will be submitted to a referendum among all private construction workers, for definitive approval, based on the rules established by the law on representation and bargaining (Law no. 59 /2016).
Although the private construction sector and its workforce have been significantly reduced in recent years, these contractual increases represent – after years of stalling the contract, which has been stopped since 2018 – a sign of a recovery in the sector, which also aims to be a response to inflationary dynamics in progress”.
