Rimini welcomes the new bishop Nicolò Anselmi
He took office on new bishop of Rimini Nicolò Anselmi, 111th pastor of the diocese, who succeeds Francesco Lambiasi. The installation took place during a Mass held in the cathedral basilica of the city. The celebration was preceded by salute to the city in piazza Cavour where the new bishop thanked those present, around 200, who had come despite the rain. Anselmi said, on the sidelines of the greeting in the square, that he had received a “beautiful welcome in Rimini, beyond my expectations. I am deeply thankful because I felt really well received. This helped me in my detachment from my city”. A city to which he remains very close. “A Genoa I grew up, I carry with me above all, I have to tell the truth, the affections, the people I met in Genoa, who loved me like bringing their heart”. “We know that you deeply love the mare and who prefers to move in scooter or in bikes: Rimini will be able to offer you these same things”, the mayor of Rimini told him Jamil Sadegholvaad giving him a racing bike. “At the base of the lights (and shadows) with which we are very often told lies an enormous humanity, which then sublimates into a concrete culture of hospitality“, added the mayor of Rimini.
