Shortly before Christmas, an unknown man in Taufkirchen wanted to buy a car worth 18,000 euros. The police announced that a 36-year-old could be arrested in the greater Vienna area that evening. The public prosecutor’s office in Stuttgart issued an arrest warrant against him for theft of a motor vehicle. The stolen vehicle from the afternoon could also be assigned to the man. Just in time: He had already tried to sell the vehicle to a local car dealer.
In the meantime, the rightful owners have been able to pick up their car from Austria, the police write. Since the 36-year-old is suspected of having stolen several vehicles in the Munich and Nuremberg area, he was extradited to Germany and is in custody here.
