Station: boy robbed in the underpass
The baby gang of the euro strikes again. Indeed, in the early afternoon of yesterday, a 15-year-old boy, accompanied by his mother, reported having been robbed in Florence. The young man, who arrived early in the morning by train in the capital from Valdisieve, was joining his classmates for a museum visit when, in the underpass that connects the station to Piazza dell’Unità Italiana, he was approached with an excuse by two boys, apparently adults and of North African origin, who insistently asked him to give them €1; to the boy’s negative response, the two blocked him and threatened to beat him, implying that they had a cutting weapon, never shown, until the intimidated victim handed him the change he had, just over €1.
In the immediate future, the boy, although frightened by what happened, did not warn anyone, only to file a complaint after having told his parents everything. The investigations, carried out by the police station of Florence – Santa Maria Novella, are underway, also through the acquisition of video surveillance images of the area where the event took place.
On Wednesday a fourteen-year-old boy had been robbed with the same technique in the Statute area, a few hours later a similar robbery had been attempted in Via Circondaria.
