2 EUR Figures from sometimes distant horizons, refugees, resistance fighters, artists, sportsmen, these women and men have been decisive actors in the story of the city and affirm the character of Toulouse. This selection, like a half-open door, is naturally incomplete and calls for questions about diversity and parity.

Creations in their own right, these portraits have been named after a Toulouse artist: Simon Lamouret. Born in Toulouse, trained at the Ecole Estienne in Paris, it is through an evocation of Bangalore, in India that he reveals himself in drawing and comics. With the softness of his line, he reveals the diversity of personalities, and allows us to better understand these portraits.

The head of a stranger, exceptionally loaned by the Saint-Raymond Museum, Toulouse archeology museum, reminds us, as if in the blink of an eye, of the long history of Toulouse.

On the occasion of the roaming of Portraits of France, The chapel of La Grave offers a selection of 28 portraits of Toulousains.
